Late Night Moblin Street

Ever had night terrors? They are truly vivid psychotic episodes that occur between various stages of sleep and wakefulness.  Since I started meditation this year, mine has started to subside.  I've had some sleep disturbance my whole conscious life. Whether it was sleepwalking or talking, or sexual experiences with a succubus, they all put bags under my eyes.

When I used to live at 212 Juniper Drive, I'd leave the Sanyo Stereo set to WKQQ every night. I used to enjoy their block party weekends too. There were several songs that would always wake me up from sleep in the middle of the night. They didn't really play these during the day, so maybe I was on alert for my melodious fix. The songs were: "Chestnut Mare" by The Byrds; "Cowboy Song" by Thin Lizzy; and "Sweet Jane" by Lou Reed (Rock and Roll Animal version).  What do they have in common?  I guess a longing mood and great guitar work.

I was probably fortunate that my talking in my sleep evolved into Night Terrors...I guess the next stage is insomnia and morning coffee at McDonald's!
