Who the f are you?

I was spinning my copy of The Who's "Who Are You" LP. the other day.  I bought this at Kitty Hawk Records as an early Teen. Ted and I would tumble down the side of the mountain to hoof it to the Capital Plaza. We didn't know till later that we would land in the Prewitt's yard on Coleman street.

I remember the chick behind the counter, though I can't recall her name. She seemed so grown up to me wearing her designer jeans and silk blouses. She was "Sister Disco"!! I'd get tongue-tied when she stood next to me at the Phono Logbook as I tried to special order John Lennon albums they didn't stock. This was pre "Double Fantasy" when JL wasn't as iconic.

Back to "Who Are You"  they always did "Sister Disco" and the title track live. Back in those days, my collection was smaller so I listened to it a lot.  It's not their best "Who By Numbers" and "Face Dance" got a lot more play from me over the years. Interesting to note that Rod Argent played piano. It was Keith's last and he was displaying diminished skills. I say 2 and 1/2 stars.
