Another day, another dead older person. You'd think this was normal or something!!!! I will obviously alienate a few when I tell you that Jimmy Buffet said nothing to me about my life other than the Cheese Burger part. I was already a fan of cheese burgers before I was into anyone's music.
I only recently became aware that he was the king of Yacht Rock. I'm not sure how that happened since that other tool with a captain's hat Mike Love is still alive!! As I always tell people though, even Hitler had a girlfriend. Mike Love wrote a few lyrics on Pet Sounds. JB contributed to a song on Brian Wilson's “imagination” album so i will acknowledge that.
Image is important and I just couldn't take those shirts. One of the funniest and saddest things I ever heard on Howard Stern was an interview with drunken 'parrotheads" at a craft brew fest. Some of his fans were truly the lowest common denominator. It made me want to order a Bud Light!!
