On vinyl Sunday at the House of Honeyman, I pulled out “Animal Boy” by the Ramones. It was a late 80's bargain at $3.99 from Camelot!!
It tries to have it both ways stylistically and largely succeeds!! Any album with “Someone Put Something in my Drink,” “Animal Boy,” and “Bonzo goes to Bitsburg” is going to be a winner. Produced by Plasmatic Jean Bouvier, it mixes hardcore, synth-pop, and classic Ramones. “Something to believe in” is a slight tune with a hilarious video that made fun of USA for African. “Ramones Aid- won't you give?” Pretty much every time I had the chance.
