Hit's Greatest Stiff's

A number of years back, I was selling some of my albums on EBay. Lately, I've been buying. Mainly, to fill some gaps in my collection. I was once a young man of limited means. My buddy Ted and I had a rule that we tried not overlap our collections. If one of us bought something unique the other would tape it!! Seems kinda of quaint in this non-music purchasing culture. So I became nostalgic for a few Stiff Records compilations that i didn't own.

I bought "Hit's Greatest Stiff's" and "A bunch of Stiff's" for this reason. I was really looking for Roogaltor's "Cincinnati Fatback" and Tyla Gang's "Styrofoam Boogie." when I got "A bunch of" first. It seems my memory was a bit faulty because after consultation with Ted I made the right purchase of "Hits". "A bunch of" has Magic Michael and The Takeaways doing "Food."

My EBay copy was rated VG+ but lacked the cool dust cover that advertised records for rival record companies!!! It didn't skip but it was a bit scratchy.

Hey Newby vinyl collectors! Your next purchase will be a nice vintage tape deck and some high bias Maxell's. I slapped on the Dolby b and taped that sucker. Always play without the Dolby and it will be home stereo heaven.
