Low Def Resolutions

How was your Christmas and New Year?  Each Dick Clark's New Years Rocking Eve makes me feel more and more Rocking Chair! The co-host had to be on Halycon or wore contact lenses that simulated the same.

I don't make new years resolutions anymore. I wrote out a legible list back in 2013 and I've been slowly working my way through it. I'll let you know how it turns out during my wake at some undisclosed future date. In other words, a work in progress.

Jimmyhoneyman has been tidying up and organizing notebooks, tapes, gear, etc. I'm archiving some tapes as we speak. I listened to a pretty cool Jellybabies concert at Twice Told from 1997. A Bam Bam Club St. Paddy's day gig at the VFW. I also found a reel of mixes from the demos for my first solo album done by Kevin Blevins aka Mike Feedback. It was a more rhythmic approach than I ended up taking in a "real" studio. These will likely end up on the next round of 212 Juniper Drive podcasts since they aren't necessarily commercial quality. Better than a Stooges album on BOMP but not much better!!! I'm very fortunate that Kevin bothered to tape and compile these performances as they would just be vague memories. The Maxwell tape ads didn't lie. These things last, even 30 years after the fact.

As far as anything new. I have continued to play with and rediscover my guitars and electronic toys. As the Village People taught me at the YWCA, you can't stop the music, but you can ignore it.  We should be resolute in doing the things that we enjoy as others will always drain our time and energy when we aren't looking. I'm AARP eligible in a few days. My goal is to be the voice of my generation for at least the next five years. 10% discounts and Consumer Celluar for everybody!!
