This is turning into a fricking obituary page. Sad to hear of the passing of Dave Fallis, who some times went around as Ridge Lee. He was part of the 1st duo on the Frankfort music scene to use a "Rhythm Box" (Bonnie and Dave) and also recipient of one of the great heckle lines "play something you both know."
Dave and I weren't friends. I always viewed him as part of a generation of musicians that needed to be replaced in the 80's. Diamond Bill Lynch's and Kevin Blevins weren't as ideologically pure as I, but both attest that he was a great guy. I would have loved to talk to him about his family history running the infamous "crawl". My condolences to his family. Death is always at ones elbow.
