Wow and Flutter
Spring 2026
'Tis the session to plant seeds, take stock, etc.  I spent time down in my studio this weekend. I finally have all the analog and digital machines synced up and ready to press record on projects, new and old.
What’s it all for, you ask? The art life is a bug that you cannot purge, successful or not. My Tinnitus is a barrier to a more perfect union.  Strangely, monitoring with headphones is not as problematic as hearing a live band. I’m still “6/7” about any live appearances this year. I have June penciled in for the completion of my next full-length “Jimmy Honeyman” disc.
The archives reveal that 2026 is the 30th anniversary of the Jellybabies “12 + 1” cassette. There aren’t any extra tracks lying around, but there may be some demos and a live show at “Phone 3” in Richmond that could see the light of day in a deluxe package.
2026 is the 40th anniversary of the Bam Bam Club.  I can definitely see a reconfigured version of the Lemoyne Pilcher recorded sessions coming out on Bandcamp. I don't have a copy of the original analog mixes. The first song we ever tried was “I heard it through the grapevine.”  The last was “Hey Joe.”

See ya soon,

Jimmy Honeyman
